  7. Brewster is a spectacular screensaver which simulates a
  8. real kaleidoscope.  This evaluation version may be
  9. registered for $20 US.  The program contains a Windows
  10. help file giving full details of how to register.  Users
  11. who are connected to the Internet can register directly
  12. on-line.

  14. This zip archive contains an automatic installer (setup.exe)
  15. which creates an uninstaller when run.  Provision for
  16. manual installation is also included.

  18. The components of this zip archive may not be distributed
  19. separately.  All files must be included and left intact,
  20. and no extra files may be added.  The permission of the
  21. author is required for distribution on CDROM, or for 
  22. making it available for downloading via the Internet.

  36. Detailed description follows:

  39. Brewster is a spectacular screensaver for Windows 95/98/NT
  40. only, which simulates a kaleidoscope. It is an accurate
  41. simulation which produces mirrored images in the manner
  42. of a real kaleidoscope. Just like the real thing, it 
  43. produces colourful symmetric patterns which slowly change
  44. as the viewpoint rotates. Unlike the real thing, the objects
  45. in the view can be altered at the touch of a button, and the
  46. image can be stretched or distorted to fill the screen.
  47. Objects can also be animated, or change colour in rainbow
  48. patterns.

  50. You can design and save your own patterns, or just press
  51. the Randomise button for a unique new design at any time.
  52. Patterns range from gentle snowflake-like images to
  53. brain-burning psychedelic extravaganzas. But don't take
  54. our word for it - try the shareware demo for yourself!
  55. The demo is fully functional but prints a message on
  56. screen after a short time.

  58. System requirements: Brewster will operate on any system
  59. capable of running Windows 95/98/NT. Better performance
  60. will be achieved by faster processors and better graphic
  61. cards. Much depends on the screen resolution. There are
  62. some notes in the documentation about how to get the most
  63. out of your system.

  65. Brewster costs $20 to register. To pay by credit card
  66. over the internet, just click on the appropriate buttons
  67. while running Brewster, and it will launch your browser
  68. and connect you to a secure web site.  Other payment
  69. options (post, fax, and telephone) are detailed in the
  70. program's documentation.
